About Us

King of Kings is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.    Located at the intersection of Highway 36 and Dale Street, King of Kings Church and School has been an active member of the Roseville community since 1962.

Founded in 1962, King of Kings Church and School has been growing ever since.   Many of the church's charter members are still members of the congregation and form the backbone of a community filled with single people and families, and individuals of all ages and generations.

Pastor Alvin Franzmeier was the first pastor, called to found a mission congregation in the then-new Twin Cities suburb of Roseville.  After firmly establishing the church and school, he left in 1967 and was followed by Pastor Darold Boettcher.

In 1973, Boettcher accepted another call and Pastor Deane Schuessler became the congregations leader.   A recently returned missionary from Japan, he continued to foster the outreach goals of the church.  Under Schuessler's pastorage, the congregation built onto the original structure a sanctuary that also served as a gymnasium for the grade school.

In 1985, King of Kings welcomed Pastor Alan Braun into its fold. Pastor Braun continues to faithfully serve the congregation today.  During Braun's tenure thus far, the church has added a dedicated sanctuary and a music room allowing the old sanctuary to be converted fully to a gymnasium/multi-purpose room.
